4 ply

Yarnhub has a wide range of hand-dyed 4 ply. Most are 100% Merino while others are blends including silk, cashmere, alpaca or nylon.

 Some yarns such as Belle are high twist, a factor that creates great stitch definition and increased wearability. This compensates for the nylon blend in some sock yarns and ensures socks and shawls are long-lasting. 

Other 4 ply 'sock' yarns contain nylon and even recycled nylon to ensure longevity of the finished product. Some luxury 4 plies have cashmere, alpaca or silk to create a luxurious feel to the item.
