Recycled fibres are a wonderful way of creating unique colourful, textured yarns that can be used for knitting, weaving or crochet. Recycled sari silk, denim and linen can spun on their own, or combined by carding or plying.
Denim fibre is very short and needs to be carded with a longer fibre to make it manageable for spinning.
Linen fibre is composed of lengths of linen thread. It can be challenging to spinning and works best with a spinning wheel that has a large orifice or a hook device.
The sari silk fibres are actually filaments that need to be spun with a long draw.
